Refinishing Particle Board Floor

I have a dining room that is never used therefore it became a catch all.

Use a small stick or a pencil to keep the surfaces apart for 15 minutes or so until the glue is no longer shiny. To our dismay when we ripped up the old carpet we found that the whole subfloor was covered with particle board. Use a vacuum to remove dust dirt and small pieces of particle board. Wood filler will not adhere to dirt.

Carefully lift up the loose veneer and use a putty knife to scrape away as much loose dried glue as possible. Add visual interest to ordinary particle board flooring and protect it from wear and rot by refinishing it with the right paint. Vacuum or sweep then wash the particle board.
